Business Card Holder

Here's a quick and easy project for your office. It's a business card holder which can be made to hold as many or as few business cards as you like. This one has been made to hold 3 different cards, but it can be made for only one, by simply making it shorter.

Cut a strip of 1" hardwood about 1 1/2" wide - I used oak - and with a 1/2" bit, in 2 or 3 passes, rout a 1/2" deep channel about 1/8" in from one side. Then I rounded over the front edge for appearance, sanded it, and applied a stain, in this case Minwax Pickled Oak, and then a couple of coats of a satin topcoat.
And that's it! This is a good way to use up scraps, and it makes a great business card holder.
